Tom, I had made your bird suet at one time and it was so easy to do. Well, Ed and I decided to start making our own again due to the economy (our birds have to eat, too!) I went online looking for different suet recipes and would you believe yours is the easiest, cheapest, and fastest to make? And because I had made it once, I know the birds love it. Thank you Tom for this great recipe. Ed & Joyce |
Great to hear it was a web problem and not something re: you or your business. I was thinking I wasn't going to be able to get any more of these, I have had the original for quite some time now, had 2 but a racoon made off with one earlly this spring, these are just great, they cut my suet use to 1/4 of what it was, not only stopped the Starlings but drives the squirrels nuts too! I just have to remember to take them down at night to stop the racoons. I have only tried the original so I thought I would give the new version a try too. I am going to the site to order right now. Thanks for contacting me, Deb

You'd be so pleased to see the Downies and a
pair of Red-Bellied Woodpeckers + 2 Red-Breasted Nuthatches + White-Breasted
Nuthatches + all going to one of your cage feeders.
What a great
site....dean |
Wow, these are great! I bought 3 this time, but plan on buying more as gifts. Fast delivery is what impressed me. Sometime it takes weeks to receive an online order. I received mine in about a week. Thank You, Starling Stumper!

Great product. Reuseable, and very handy. Just the right size for my suet cakes! Thanx so much!

Great product! Keeps those pesty squirrels away from the suet completely! Now my suet lasts more than one day.

Dear sires, I've had terrific results with your product. I've been feeding birds for over ten years and have had trouble with both Starlings and squirrels. I'm pleased to say the "stopper" works for both. I've bought two slip-overs covers for my old suet baskets and it works like a charm. The smaller woodpeckers (downy and hairy)
have no trouble feeding on the suet, and I haven't seen a single squirrel or Starling raiding the food. Thanks from a grateful bird lover. Tom O.

Finally got around to putting up the Starling Stumper last week. It works well although the Starlings can still get at it. It's just so much harder for them this way, and only a few of them will even try. They hover upside down long enough to get some suet and then have to drop to the neck railing. The Mockingbirds do this as well.
Chicadees have no problem with it, and I am waiting for the Woodpeckers to get to it. The suet is lasting for days now, rather than just a few hours; however I noticed this morning that the Starlings are clinging to the bottom of the bsuet feeder with one claw. It's rather comical to watch, and they grow weary fairly quickly. Thanks again, Colleen.
